Milan have announced another one of their players has tested positive for COVID-19 after Ciprian Tatarusanu, but do not name him.

The statement was released this evening following the latest round of swabs at the training ground.

Unlike yesterday, when goalkeeper Tatarusanu was named as the player who tested positive, there is no specific player confirmed this time.

"AC Milan announces that following the tests carried out through swabs a player has tested positive for Covid-19. The competent health authorities were immediately informed."

It is believed the player did not give permission for Milan to name him. It is not known if he is vaccinated.

The Rossoneri are due to face Roma on Thursday January 6 when the Serie A season resumes after the Christmas break.

There are now COVID-19 cases at 19 out of the 20 Serie A clubs right now, with only Lazio currently all-clear.

The worst outbreaks are at Salernitana with 11 players, Verona eight and Udinese seven.

Torino announced more cases today, taking the total to five players and two members of staff.

Napoli are without Mario Rui, Kevin Malcuit, Eljif Elmas, Victor Osimhen and coach Luciano Spalletti.
